The results presented are based on questions asked in the national public health survey: Could you or your household be able to pay unexpected costs of 13,000 crowns within a month without borrowing or asking for help? In the past 12 months, have you ever had difficulty managing regular expenses for food, rent, bills etc.? In the past 12 months, how many days have you been away from work as a result of poor health? (Indicators of sick leave calculated among employd aged 16 to 64) The national public health survey is a sample survey of the country's population aged 16 and older. The population aged 16 to 84 are covered before 2021. The values presented are not adjusted for age. Until 2016, the national public health survey was conducted annually. As of 2018, it has been conducted every two years, however the sample size has doubled compared to the period up to and including 2016. Multi-year averages are used in order to obtain a sufficiently large data set for regions. The multi-year averages cover a period of four years and are based on the surveys conducted during this period. No statistics for Gotland are presented in the multi-year average for 2018-2021 and 2019-2021 due to few obersvations.
