Indicator definition: Percentage (%) of the population (17–84 years) that on average per week drinks at least 14 standard glasses (men) and 9 standard glasses (women) of alcoholic beverages. This corresponds to approximately 168 grams and 108 grams per week or approximately 21 cl and roughly 14 cl of pure alcohol per week. The questions on quantity and frequency which form the basis of the calculations refer to consumption over the past 30 days, and the percentage per year is an average for the past 12 months.
