Indicator definition: Percentage (%) of the population (17-84 years) with alcohol abuse in accordance with diagnostic criteria in DSM-IV through the questionnaire instrument M.I.N.I. In 2013 STAD conducted a questionnaire (baseline measurement) on uses and consequences among the Swedish population with respect to alcohol, narcotics, doping and tobacco. The data collection took place through a survey (postal or online survey) targeted to a nationally representative sample of the population. In total 15,576 persons participated in the survey, which corresponded to a response rate of 59.3%.
