Indicator definition: Percentage (%) of the population (17-84 years) with alcohol dependence in accordance with diagnostic criteria in DSM-IV through the questionnaire instrument M.I.N.I. CAN is responsible for the survey and data were collected in 2013, 2017 and 2021 regarding use and consequences among the Swedish population with respect to alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco and gambling.The data was collected through a survey (postal or online survey) based on a nationally representative sample of the population. In total 15,511 persons participated in the survey 2013, 11,514 in 2017 and 9,819 in 2021, which corresponded to a response rate of 59.1, 44,3 and 36.8% respectively.
