Indicator definition: Registered sales of strong beer by source of purchase, recalculated as litres of pure alcohol (100%) per inhabitant aged 15 and above. Strong beer is defined as higher than 3,5% alcohol by volume. Volumes per type of drink for service are based on data from wholesalers and places licensed to serve alcohol which have been registered in The Central Register under the Alcohol Act at the end of the respective year. Systembolaget's sales volumes per type of drink have been collected from Systembolaget. Population data have been collected from Statistics Sweden's population statistics and represents the number of inhabitants on 31 December of the relevant year.
